The TEC B472 thermal transfer printer features a stainless steel case and internal media supply which allows the printer to be used in a harsh operating environment. The printer also features TEC's near-edge floating print head which prints at speeds up to 10" (254 mm) per second at 200 DPI (8 dot/mm) whilst allowing for printing on a wide range of media types High quality print is assisted by the printer straight media path. The printer may be enhanced through use of the option range which includes Ribbon Save, Internal Rewind Unit, On Demand (peel off) mechanism, Cutter, Centronics and I/O interfaces.

The TEC B-572 features the latest design in print head technology. TEC's exclusive, patent pending, FETHR (Floating Edge-Type Head Revolution) permits lighter head pressure to print on a wide range of face stocks from thin to thick, and on various smoothness of papers. This revolutionary FETHR thermal head adjusts automatically and does not require mechanical changes. Print quality is not dependent upon pressure with the platen, and there is less abrasion and wear on the print head. Minimum pressure with the print head extends print head life well beyond other printer manufacturers. The B-572's unique straight-through paper path allows the printer to automatically adjust to print on various thickness of label and tag materials. It also makes media loading easy.

The TEC B-872 Thermal Transfer /Direct Thermal Printer continues TEC's tradition of producing printers that lead the market in price and performance. Featuring 305 DPI (12 dots per mm) print speeds of up to 8 inches per second (200mm/second) this printer also incorporates ribbon save and the ability to handle a wide range of media types.
